However they are not the one's with the most $ to spend.They also are more likely to find fault after the sale. I'm sure there are lots of buyers who love to haggle for every transaction. They don't know you don't stock a warehouse of plain boxes and they don't value your time for making up a special shipment and changing the ad for them or creating a new ad for them or rebating some of their money through Paypal while eBay keeps all of theirs. Except 'they' are not the type of shoppers you want, are they? Next they'll want you to combine shipping, and not use Priority Mail to save them $.70. They want to buy it now but don't like to pay more than the next guy. With an image of a flea market, everybody knows the listed price is not the real price. Why is that when auction sales generally collect less than fixed price for the same item? Because people want their stuff now. In early 2016 it was reported fixed price listings were 85% of eBay vs. Not the image I would want if I was them. So what's eBay's new image going to be (if they can shed the current one)? I say this because I know lots of people who don't trust eBay even though I tell they as a buyer thay can't lose. eBay's image was set in the era of Meg Whitman when there was little regulation and when many buyers got burned by thousands of amateur SNAD sellers. The problem is, people and companys get stuck with an image. I disagree with posters that say eBay is trying to kill off the small seller, or this or that.ĮBay wants everybody. You do understand that your stated price means nothing if you go down this road.
